Thursday 7th December welcomed the brilliant Ross Anslie and Ali Hutton down to our performance space at St Enoch’s Subway station. In preparation for Celtic Connections 2018 which kicks off in six weeks, live music from the duo played out from 4 – 6pm, drawing in avid fans and curious passers-by alike. A medley of guitar, pipes and whistle were the instruments of choice throughout the night and the tunes certainly put a jig into people’s steps as they commuted through the station, some stopping in their tracks to take a festival brochure and watch the performance. As time went by and the crowd grew, a surprise appearance from Finlay MacDonald was greatly welcomed with the combination of the three talents belting out a host of catchy Scottish music encouraging people to find out what the event was all about.
If you weren’t lucky enough to catch this performance on the night in St. Enoch’s Station then you might just have been able to join in over our social channels as we went live from our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
